Do prostheses interfere with breast cancer detection?

Many patients ask us if the presence of an implant can prevent the radiological detection of breast cancer. Taking into account that one in seven women will develop breast cancer throughout their lives, the issue is not trivial. Multiple studies have been carried out in recent decades and they all agree on the absence of interference in the implant when detecting malignant tumors.
