Nursing professional whose main function is to care for the patient during the intraoperative process. Makes the first contact with the patient upon arrival at the operating room, providing comfort and tranquility in the moment before surgery.
The key tasks performed in the surgical procedure are: preparation and organization of the material necessary for surgery, maintenance of asepsis of the surgical field; and provide surgeons with the instruments required for said intervention, as well as collaborate with the medical team in multiple tasks throughout the procedure.
