Surgery
Prior to surgery, we will do a detailed study of your health status. It is advisable to stop smoking at least a week before the operation. We perform all interventions in a hospital operating room, most of them under local anesthesia and sedation, although in the case of small children, we prefer general anesthesia for greater comfort for the child. The operation lasts approximately 1 hour. After a brief period of observation and under the direct supervision of Dr. Forcada, the patient is discharged from the hospital.
Postoperative
The surgery is not very painful, although in the first days you may notice a sensation of swelling and throbbing. It is advisable to apply ice for 10 minutes every hour for 24-48 hours to reduce swelling and bruising. During those first two days you will remain at home, without making intense physical efforts and with your head bandaged. On the 2nd day, the bandage is removed, although it is advisable to wear a protective tape for at least 2 more weeks, especially at night.
Results
In general, the results are consistent over time and the general level of satisfaction is very high.
