Dr. Javier Casanova

Graduated in Medicine from the University of Zaragoza (1998–2004), with an overall grade of “Sobresaliente” (Outstanding).

Holds a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) from the Department of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Autonomous University of Madrid, with a research focus on:
“Anesthetic preconditioning in pulmonary ischemia-reperfusion injury.”

Completed his specialty training in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón (June 2005 – June 2009).

Earned the title of University Expert and Specialist in Healthcare Management and Research Tools, awarded by UNED (National Distance Education University) in 2010.

He has been involved in postgraduate teaching, training residents in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care as well as residents from other specialties during their rotations.

He is also a teaching collaborator at the Faculty of Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid.

Since March 7, 2011, Dr. [Name] has been working as a Consultant Specialist (Facultativo Especialista de Área) in the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón. Since January 2014, he has had a special focus in the Cardiac Surgery Unit and the Postoperative Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (UCP).

From November 1, 2010 to March 6, 2011, he worked as a Consultant Specialist in the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at Hospital Fundación Jiménez Díaz.
From June 8, 2009 to October 31, 2010, he held the same position at the Hospital Universitario de Guadalajara.

He has also been collaborating continuously with various private clinics in Madrid since obtaining his specialty, covering a wide range of surgical and non-surgical procedures.

He completed his residency in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón from June 2005 to June 2009.
