Brachioplasty is the surgical technique aimed at improving the appearance of the upper extremities by resecting excess dermofat on the inside of both arms. What we aim with this surgery is to achieve stylized arms that are in harmony with the body.
Surgery
The intervention is performed under local anesthesia + sedation. Hospital admission is not necessary. The incisions are located in the armpit, and depending on the laxity and excess skin, they extend along the inner side of the arm. This operation is often combined with liposuction to help skin retraction, reduce fatty tissue, and treat adjacent areas.
After surgery
In addition to the usual scar care, we will combine lymphatic drainage to improve return and reduce the risk of seroma. In 2 or 3 days you will be able to lead a completely normal life. Complications are very rare, since it is a clean surgery. The main ones are those associated with the scar, which are also rare, and the postoperative seroma. The chances of hematoma or other complications are very remote.
